About me

Ten years of upholstering across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

I am an independent, traditionally trained upholsterer with a passion for textiles and historical interiors.

Following art college, I started my working life on the picture desks of various publications but have always had a love for interior design.

While on maternity leave, we inherited a Victorian wingback armchair, and I thought ‘I’d have a go’ at upholstering it. After about six months of evening classes and a lot of sweat and tears (literally), I had caught the bug and went on to train for three years at The Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design at the London Metropolitan University, studying the Association of Master Upholsterers (AMUSF)-accredited course and earning a Distinction.

Upon completion at The Cass, I worked as an apprentice for several upholsterers before eventually opening my own workshop in 2016.
